Thomas S. Marvel Jova, F.A.I.A.
- Native of Newburgh, New York, Thomas S. Marvel studied at Dartmouth College and the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University, where he received a Masters Degree in Architecture. He worked with R. Buckminster Fuller and the IBEC Housing Corporation before settling in Puerto Rico in 1959, where he has practiced
- architecture since. He has taught at the School of Architecture at the University of Puerto Rico and lectured at schools throughout the US on the topic of tropical architecture. As a member of the NAAB (National Architecture Accreditation Board), he has also been involved in the Accrediting Committee for various
- architecture schools around the globe. His practice has encompassed architecture and urban design and he has done projects in the Caribbean and Central America as well as Puerto Rico. A great part of his practice has been focused on architecture for education, designing facilities
